Amitayus Retreat

Fri 3- Sat 4 February

This retreat gives us the opportunity to engage in the practice of Buddha Amitayus, which is a special method to increase our lifespan, our wisdom and our merit, or good fortune.
In the sadhana of this practice Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche explains that there is nothing more precious than our human life, it is our most important possession. Our human life gives us the opportunity to experience both temporary and ultimate happiness. We need a long life, if we lose this life we lose our opportunity to experience happiness now and to attain the permanent happiness of enlightenment through our pure Dharma practice.
Each session is 1 hour and 15 minutes and consists of chanted meditation in English and silent mantra recitations. You are welcome to attend any or all of the sessions.
The long life pills blessed in each session throughout the retreat will be distributed after the last session on the last day.
